Carraig Dulra

Carraig Dúlra is an organic learning centre and campsite on the East Coast of Ireland. An outreach centre of the Organic Centre, Carraig Dúlra offers camping and a variety of courses for those interested in learning more about green living.

Courses

Visitors to Ireland and Wicklow have a number of fun and informative courses to chose from. Some classes, such as alternative energy, sustainable design, and organic gardening, offer direct insight in to how people can make their lives more green. Others courses, such as beekeeping and primitive survival skills, help participants become closer with nature. Customized classes are also available upon request – see here for more details.

Whether you want to learn how to grow healthier produce or how to make a bow drill fire, courses at Carraig Dúlra are designed to help you re-establish or maintain your connection with the natural world.

Camping

Tent camping is available at Carraig Dúlra by appointment only for up to ten days. Facilities include an outdoor kitchen, fire pits, compost loo, and water from barrels. For those that are interested, a few shops in the area hire tipis, yurts, and VW campers. The camping fee is €10 per person for one night, though bartering/volunteering opportunities may be available.

Make sure to contact them in advance to confirm the dates of your arrival and departure. Please visit the Carraig Dúlra website for more details.
