School House bed & breakfast is housed in a beautifully renovated Victorian building located in Ballater, Scotland. Situated in the Scottish Highlands, the B & B makes a great base for enjoying many of the of outdoor activities available.

The B & B offers family, shared, and single rooms. Prices are between £36 and £142, depending on type of room, number of guests, and season. Group rates are also available for up to 24 people. All prices include breakfast.

English Classes and Storytelling

School House runs an English school and classes can be arranged for guests. Cathy is a master storyteller with extensive experience - performaces can be arranged at the front desk.

There are a plethora of nearby activities to choose from, including walks, hiking, golf, mountaineering, mountain boking, gliding, horse riding, fishing, and more. The owners of School House, Alan and Cathy, are always happy to advice guests on where and what to do.

Getting There

School House can be reached via A93 and A939. Ballater is only 44 miles from Aberdeen and Alan and Cathy can arrange for cheap transporation to and from the Aberdeen Airport for guests flying in from London, etc. Make sure to inquire about pick up when making a reservation.
