Skyewalker Hostel is located in the beautiful village of Portnalong, just 3 miles from Carbost (home of the world renowned Talisker Whiskey Distillery) and 17 miles from the island's capital of Portree. The hostel makes an excellent base for exploring and enjoying the Cullin Mountain range with easy access to the rest of the island.

A warm welcome and true Scottish hospitality awaits all! Clean beds, comfy lounge and a great atmosphere all from only £12.50 per night per person! Our scenic campsite is situated at the rear of the hostel and campers are very welcome to use hostel facilities.

Skyewalker Hostel hosts regular Scottish folk music sessions and some instruments are available for guests to play. It is also possible to book the hostel exclusively, (40
beds), for special occasions such as birthdays, Munro completion parties, family
get-togethers etc.

Hotel Facilities

Facilities at Skyewalker include free WiFi, free parking, laundry, iron & ironing board, and towel and hairdryer hire. Reception and security are 24 hours and there is a shop where you can buy basic supplies.

Guests are free to play the instruments in the hostel lounge.

Getting to the Hostel

The Hostel is easy to get to once you have reached Skye. Head to Sligachan in the centre of Skye, then take the A863 for 5 miles and exit at the turn off for Carbost onto the B8009. Continue through Carbost to Portnalong and you have arrived. Or simply follow the green signs!!
