Canal Barn Bunkhouse hostel is located by the Brecon Beacons mountain range in the town of Brecon, Wales. Brecon is a small market town rich in history, whose name comes from the fifth century Prince Brychan who established the kingdom of Brychieniog in Mid-Wales. In addition to having every outdoor activity imaginable nearby, the town has great entertainment options for its size, including 17 pubs, a cinema, theatre, 2 museums, and a variety of restaurants.

The Hostel

The bunkhouse has 6 rooms with a total of 24 beds. The rate for small groups is £15 per person with a minimum of 7 people. Large groups can rent out the whole bunkhouse for £300 per night. Reservations should be for at least 2 nights on weekends and 3 on Bank Holidays, and 20% deposit is required for confirmation. Pillow and pillow cases are included with the price and guests can bring their own bedding or hire for £5 per set. There is no smoking in the bunkhouse.

Facilities at the bunkhouse include central heating, dining/common room, classroom, guest kitchen, sheltered BBQ area, 5 complete bathrooms, washing machine, drying room, free hairdryer use, and plenty of parking.

Friendly staff will help you arrange walking/hiking, navigation/orienteering, paintball, archery, shooting clays, mountain biking, cycling, mountain boarding, quad biking, karting, canoeing, kayaking, rafting, sailing, sail boarding, climbing, abseiling, caving, gorge walking, hang gliding, paragliding, pony riding/trekking, training courses, and more.
